Buffy Inspired Style

Hi Lovelies!

I thought I’d do a Buffy inspired style post today… I may or may not have been inspired because I met James Marsters (Spike) yesterday at Supanova!! Spike was hands down my favourite character in the Buffy series…  I even have the collectors doll too. I never thought I would get the chance to meet James though!! He is so lovely and charming it was definitely worth the wait to pick up the photo afterwards (an hour and a half… the ticket machine with the photo numbers broke so they had to give the photos out by identifying people in the photos!) if anyone ever gets the chance to go to Supanova do it, its really awesome 🙂

I was so shy/ starstruck I didn’t know what to say to him! but very very happy 🙂

The Buffy inspired outfit I have put together today is one that she wears in the first episode, (when she goes out at night and first meets Angel and he gives her the crucifix necklace) its a classic denim on denim look. I did change the ring though to a very similar one she wears later in the season of a plastic pink rose.

Flat Lay Practice

This is one of my assignments I’ve done for my styling course. I had to practice a flat lay like in the magazines. It’s actually a lot harder than it looks! Its really really tricky getting the clothes to sit right (i had lots of help from tissue paper XD) What do you guys think for my first attempt I know its far from perfect you can tell the shadows and some wrinkles in the jacket)? I’d love some feedback 🙂

A Halloween Soiree

Halloween may have been and gone but that doesn’t mean there are not any parties going on this weekend! I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween if you celebrate it, here in Australia it is not as popular. We did however have a couple of trick or treaters last night… and they were treated to bananas! We didn’t have any chocolate or lollies in the house surprisingly (may or may not be because chocolate and lollies don’t last long in our household XD) I also hope everyone affected from Hurricane Sandy were still able to celebrate Halloween, my heart goes out to all those affected by the hurricane ❤ I would love to hear how everyone celebrated Halloween or how they are going after the Hurricane in the US.

Meanwhile here are two very luxe outfits I quickly put together from gorgeous clothes on net-a-porter… I would prefer any goodies from net-a-porter any day over candy!

Photo Challenge – Photo 28 Shadows & Outfit/ Trend Post – Wedge Sneaker!

New Shoes (and lots of shadows :P)

Hey Guys! sorry for not being daily lately with the photo challenge posts I’ve been pretty busy lately (I also think a part of me doesn’t want the photo challenge to end!) – I’m going to have to change my posting schedule after this photo challenge, I’ll let you all know when I do XD 🙂 – Anyway today’s photo shadows! It’s also kinda an outfit post too (dress, scarf and belt are all actually from Forever New!), I purchased some lovely on trend new shoes today out shopping with one of my gorgeous friends Bee. We actually ended up buying the same shoes! These shoes were purchased from Betts For Her but you can also purchase them here  http://www.lipstikshoes.com.au/hers/statement-wedges/pre-order-fresh-stone-gold-glitter  if you guys love them as much as I do (they actually are very comfy, ultra sparkly shoes!)!

I thought I would also include 6 other awesome wedge sneakers I found on the net, they are definitely all covet worthy! Links to them are listed below 🙂

Pretty In Picnic

it’s a short photo/ style story I’m really proud of it :). I wanted to create something which had a vintage feel and captures a first date or outing with friends to the park.
I used
a canon eos 600D to photograph the pictures
my own wardrobe  and jewelry XD
Photoshop cs5 to edit the photos

Location was at Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens.

I hope you enjoy this mini photo style story as much as I did creating it! xox
